Patient Care in ITRT

As well as its research activities, ITRT also provides significant support to Centro Médico Teknon, equipped with the latest technology and with operational standards accredited by the Joint Commission International and the acute medical care centres of the Government of Catalonia, based on the model of excellence of the European Foundation for Quality Management.

As specialists in orthopaedics and traumatology, rheumatology and sports medicine, they confront both the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and peripheral nerve injury, as well as conditions affecting the joints.

Many clinical cases must be, and are, tackled from a multidisciplinary approach, and all surgical interventions are undertaken by the team most qualified to ensure success, with the collaboration of members of the site's Medical Body or external bodies, if deemed necessary. Likewise, ITRT offers its support to other medical teams that could benefit from its experience and accreditation in the use of innovative medical resources such as stem cell therapy.
